I can only talk for myself, mind you, although I'm reasonably sure other poets would recognize. They may not be able to express the "why" any better as compared with I can, but they would probably surely understand.

A quality friend once asked about why I prepare poetry. Judging by that pinched look face, she should probably have asked me as to why I juggle hazardous snakes, or worse, the reason I lick germy classic fly swatters. Well, could be the look on her are up against wasn't quite this bad, but when this woman asked the problem, she definitely possessed the look of someone who has been, at the very least, sucking in a lemon.

While I'm just convinced that writing poetry is not a disease, truly might be considered an addiction. If it is, I can also tell you it is an addiction that has Hardly any twelve-step program for restoration, either (thank God). Having said that, based on her a revelation question, I found I saw it to ask myself, exactly why do I write songs? I mean other than several, which is that I really love writing poetry. I want scribbling thoughts and concepts wherever I am, on the subject of whatever I can obtain to write on, research complete and entire abandon.
